How payments work
Payments on Wulper are processed by Stripe. Stripe moves the funds under its own terms; Wulper records what each deal requires, tracks the deal state, and decides payout eligibility, but it never holds funds as a legal escrow.
To receive a payout, a provider connects a payout account with the payment provider. Payouts go only to that connected payout account. After Wulper initiates a payout, timing depends on the payment provider and the payout account; Wulper does not promise instant arrival.
Any Wulper platform fee and Stripe processing fees are shown before a payment is confirmed. Processing, currency, bank, tax, or network charges may still apply. If a card payment is charged back or reversed, the result is decided by Stripe and the card network under their rules, and Wulper updates its records to match. A reversal can leave a negative balance on the affected account, which the account holder is responsible for settling.
Funding before work starts
The recipient sets the minimum upfront funding for each deal from 0% to 100%. Full (100%) upfront funding is recommended and shown as the preferred path. The required funding must be confirmed before delivery begins.
When a proposal is accepted, any remaining balance up to the agreed funding level is collected before work activates. Acceptance itself never releases a payout: a payout becomes eligible only after deliverables are approved or completed, through the single payout-release path to the provider's connected payout account.
Counters, revisions, and price changes
When a counter or revision changes the price, Wulper recalculates the deal: if more is owed, the difference is collected; if less is owed, the difference is refunded. Only the difference moves.
Rejected, expired, and withdrawn offers
An offer that is rejected, expires, or is withdrawn before acceptance never becomes a deal and moves no money. A deal starts only when an offer is accepted and its required funding is confirmed.
Cancellation
Cancelling before acceptance ends the proposal; no deal exists and nothing is owed. Cancelling after acceptance settles the deal from its recorded funding and delivery state: amounts tied to approved work stay on the normal payout path, and the remaining funded difference is refunded.
Failed payments, partial refunds, and settlement
A payment that fails changes nothing: funding, balances, and payout eligibility change only on verified payment-provider or server events, never on a client claim alone. Work does not activate until the required funding is confirmed.
Partial refunds are supported, and settlements follow what both parties agree or what a review decides. This policy states that principle; the mechanics for agreeing a split inside Wulper will be described here when they ship.
Review, approval, and evidence
Delivered work goes through a review period: the client approves the deliverables or requests revision with reasons, and both sides can attach evidence such as files, links, or messages from the deal. Approval is what makes a payout eligible; a revision request sends the work back with the reasons recorded.
How disputes are resolved
Start by resolving it together in the deal room. If that fails, contact support for a review of the deal record.
Where a case needs a decision, an admin reviews the recorded deal state, the deliverables, and the evidence from both sides. The review is limited to what is objective and recorded, both sides are notified and get a chance to respond, and where feasible a decision can be appealed before a payout becomes irreversible. An open case can hold the related payout until the review concludes.
If Wulper's review cannot resolve the matter, either side may pursue an external remedy. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Card disputes are separate
A card dispute (such as a chargeback through the buyer's bank or Stripe's dispute process) is separate from a service-quality dispute on Wulper. The card dispute decides only the payment; the service question is decided on Wulper from the deal record, and vice versa.
